Plansifter is one of the most important machines in any milling plant and serves as the central classification unit between grinding passages. After the product leaves the Roller Mill, it enters the Plansifter, where it is separated into different particle size fractions for further processing or final product collection.
Using multiple sieve compartments equipped with various mesh sizes, the machine continuously classifies flour, semolina, middlings, and bran according to particle size. Fine particles pass through the appropriate sieves and move toward the finished product stream, while coarser particles are directed back to subsequent grinding passages for further size reduction. This gradual separation process is fundamental to achieving high extraction rates and consistent product quality.
The oscillating movement generated by a precisely balanced drive system ensures efficient and uniform product distribution across the sieve surfaces. This allows maximum sifting efficiency while minimizing vibration and energy consumption. Depending on plant capacity requirements, different sieve arrangements and passage configurations can be utilized to optimize performance.
OZAN Milling Square Plansifter solutions are engineered to provide exceptional sifting accuracy, operational reliability, and hygienic performance. Designed for continuous industrial operation, they contribute directly to flour quality, extraction efficiency, and overall mill productivity.
